Hello Ladies!
I'm not the greatest at interviews, but I think it would be fun to be on your radio show and good for me to get some practice! I'm working on a swim line based off my blog/website name called, Beach Bum Wannabe! I am waiting on some prototypes from Thailand for our Signature Bikini & Board Short currently, and hope to be launching a full line by summer 2010! I don't have a lot of experience in retail or starting a clothing line, but I have a lot of business experience and I am a Google queen! Between being business savy and knowing how to find information on google, I find I can do anything!
Feel free to check out my website and see if you find anything that intrigues you and might be good for the radio show! Thanks!

Hi there,

I am a woman business owner and mother of two little ones. I would love to be interviewed on your show.
I own a calligraphy business, "The Calligraphy Girl." (http://calligraphygirl.com) I do a lot of work for weddings, such as addressing wedding invitations, place cards, table numbers, etc. I also do poetry and quotes, certificates (I work with a local law school to do their certificates). I address for parties, Christmas cards, you name it!
I started doing calligraphy about 20 years ago and it wasn't until last year that I decided to make a go of it in the business world. I was staying home with my two children (3 and 1/2 and 1 and 1/2) and thought it would be fun to start an at home business.
I started by calling the wedding planner who did my wedding and she sent a few brides my way. Then I began cold calling other wedding professionals and stationary stores in town. Surprisingly they had no other calligraphers that had approached them and they were happy to get my phone call.
From there I looked for every place I could advertise on the Internet for free. Now when you type in Google "the Calligraphy Girl" or "Calligraphy in Sacramento, CA" , I'm all over the place.
Two weeks ago I was on Good Day Sacramento and a few weeks before that I was featured on Twinsoup.com.
It has been great fun starting up a business and my husband has been very supportive. I work from about 8 pm (when the kids are down for the night) until about 1 am. Then my hubby helps get the kids up in the morning. It's a perfect arrangement.
Please let me know if my story interests you at all. I would love to be a guest!

Thank you.
