Overcoming a Bad Breakup with Rebecca Fein

SHOW RECAP: Rebecca Fein came by the Diva Studio to help us navigate the pain of a bad breakup, or divorce, but first we had some insight into the power of understanding the different ways we express and receive love.

We recommend Gary Chapman’s free quiz on his site

the Five Love Languages.

Kelli and Rebecca both share how to come through a painful divorce. Kelli’s first marriage ended in this expensive, traumatizing way. The losses of friendships, money, community position, self esteem, and family is painful. But there are some steps to move to victory.

1. Forgive your self and your mate

2. Take extreme care of yourself

3. Reach out to new community members

When people look at you strangely after your pain, simply greet them warmly!

Sometimes this heartache follows death and grief also. How important to help eachother.

Alicia Cramer on the Subconscious Power to Succeed

SHOW RECAP:

We had a great time as Alicia Cramer came and shared with the Diva’s how combining mindset tools with energy tools can  bring a huge shift in our results. This is because our unconscious beliefs drive most of our behaviors.

It’s been estimated by the year 2032 over half of the population will be obese.

Health care professionals are warning that people need to use active coping strategies, day-in and day-out, to prevent weight gain, but unfortunately, most do not succeed. In order to lose weight and maintain a healthy lifestyle we must change the way we act and change the way we think.

Hypnotherapy and Weight Loss: A Proactive Solution for Life- Long Results

Hypnotherapy is a proactive, beneficial tool that can help people lose weight and accomplish their goals. By using verbal suggestions during a hypnotic state of heightened awareness, hypnotherapists are able to reinforce positive thinking, address conflicts, and encourage mental rewiring. Mental rewiring is creating or changing neurological pathways in our brains to help change the way we respond to or view a situation.

Diane Tegarden on Escaping a Bad Divorce

Diane Tegarden came to encourage the Diva’s, especially those
finding themselves needing to know what to do in the case of
pending divorce.

The statistics say that 50% of marriages end in divorce, but there
is hope that you will find love. Most women are married 3 times.
Just because you had a failed relationship doesn’t mean you wont
fall in love again.

It is possible to re-make yourself and find a good match as you grow.

If you  give yourself a chance to heal from your past, you can change
your patterns and find a better relationship.

The number 1 reason people get divorced is money problems.
The number 1 reason women stay is they don’t think they can support themselves.

Create a budget: list how much money you need as a necessity. Then look
at the bottom line and you can see where your money is going.

If you are always needing $500 each month, YOU decide how to whittle
that down. Trim your clothing spending, and track your spending.

Another financial fitness tip: earn how to reconcile your bank
statement together, so you can both know where the money is
going.

How can you move through a divorce?

1. Prepare your kids
2. Teach yourself financial skills

After a divorce spend at least a year alone, getting to know yourself
and heal!

Diane Tegarden, an author of three published books, lives in Pasadena, with her husband and three cats. She’s been a print journalist since 1992, writing on a wide range of subjects including; renewable energy, environmental concerns, holistic health, women’s issues, and Native Spirituality. Her work has been published in: The Pasadena Star News, Security Sales Magazine, The Pasadena Weekly, The Solar Flare, The Feral Forest, Earth Luvyrs Calendar, The Daily Sundial, the West Coast Well Being, Associated Content, Health Breakthroughs and The Examiner.com.

Housewife Bliss with Coryanne Etienne

coryanne ettiene on divatalkradio

Coryanne shared with us her transition from corporate world to life as a stay at home mom and then a work from home mom.

She was trying so hard to be “more than a stay-at-home mom,” that she nearly killed herself working on her Master’s in Philosophy  from Kings College in London.  She finally learned some keys to living peacefully at home on a dramatic pay decrease.

Some keys:

1. Invite people into your home, instead of meeting at cafe’s.

2. Relationships with other mothers blossomed in this season, and she learned to let go of any shame over any lacking cooking skills.

3. She learned to be proud to say, “I am a housewife!” With a smile and with her shoulders back. That’s when she realized that many people would have loved to live that stay at home role.

4. Reveling in the enjoyment of the moment is priceless!

Kelli admitted that she is not a kitchen lover. In fact, as a very young bride, she once wrote to the Betty Crocker Cooking Club to cancel her membership because they kept sending her recipes involving a Dutch Oven and by golly, she had an American Oven! Twenty years later, she discovered what a dutch oven is.

This creates cooking anxiety.

Regarding cooking anxiety: Learn that nothing has to be perfect! Enjoy the process and being in the company of friends and loved ones!

About Coryanne Etienne: As a wife, and the mother of 3 young children, inspiration for her business is taken from daily life, and infused from her experiences living in Europe, Asia and Africa.  Prior to starting Housewife Bliss in 2010, Coryanne Ettiene earned a Master of Philosophy from Kings College London and spent over 10 years working as a management consultant. When she left her job in management consulting to focus on motherhood, it took her time to embrace the value of her new role and find the right balance between the woman she was before and the woman she was becoming.  During this transition, Coryanne devoured books on domestication, cooking and gardening, and soon discovered that her new place in society held an equally important role as her last.

In 2010, this journey into domestication became the motivation behind Housewife Bliss, and today she promotes the message that the modern traditionalist housewife is a woman who manages her home with pride, has a passion for traditional domestic arts, and above all is not defined by her home, but rather defines her home.

Being a Womanpreneur with Dr. Carolyn Edwards

Dr. Carolyn Edwards inspired us as we talked about entrepreneurship and the ability to inspire the dreams in the children and adults around us.

Here are some highlights from the talk:
What led you from being a college professor to being a powerful entrepreneur?

Dr. E: After finding people misusing financial aide and being unable to come to school, and others went to class but never developed a winning attitude. Many students just never learned the life skills they needed at home. So I started writing children’s books.

My books tell the story about little Jeremiah to inspire them to succeed in life. They don’t have to be a professional athlete or a race car driver to be successful. Everyone can be what they love.

I don’t want to live in a vanilla society. If we allow children to bring a gift and talent in the world we will have so much more diversity and love and passion. Truly the world will be a better place.

Let’s help some people not wait until they are retired to pursue the passion in their life.

We want to allow people to be comfortable in their own skin. Life is so short so lets at least enjoy the journey.

How to Attract Money With Mind Power

James Goi  Inspires the Diva’s to Attract Money with Mind Power

Is it Woo-Woo or is it real?  I say it’s all “woo-woo” (if by that you mean part of the non-physical world) and it’s all real too! Our guest James Goi sure had some interesting ideas about this much talked about idea. Below are the notes I took as I listened and asked questions!

There are certainly keys to bringing in more finances with your mind. Yes, you will  be
inspired to take the right corresponding actions, but also do not rule out the power of
a windfall, because those happen too!

Step 1
Relaying to the subconscious mind and the universe what you really want

Step 2
You will discover ways to receive

People are often not proactive enough – not just as workers, but as mindset-builders.

Don’t be running after money, but get quiet and let yourself be led.

Desire  “Desire is the great moving power of the mind”  –Robert Collier 1921
The subconscious mind works with images and emotions. The images don’t matter as much as
intensity. So make sure you are feeding your mind with the images that evoke intensity in
a positive way for you.

Worry would be emotional intensity working against you!

Question: How do I get my desire for a new car high enough since I am fairly content and
not totally clear what car I want?

Answer: Be open to the best car for you, whatever it may be that is currently waiting for you.

Great affirmation may be:
I am so happy and excited now that I have the perfect vehicles for me at the right time.

Otherwise, just focus on the full bank account and you’ll have more than enough!

Yes, these concepts truly do work.

What the mind profoundly expects, it tends to receive.

Pegi Burdick on Diva Talk Radio

Pegi Burdick, The Financial Whisperer™ helps women untangle their emotions from their money.

She was such an intriguing guest as she peeled back the curtain to reveal what is REALLY going on when we have financial issues. More importantly she explained how to move from shame to self-love where financial freedom is already waiting.

Some highlights:

What is Shame? the “gift” that keeps on giving. A learned behavior when you were young. When we attach shame to different things, it creates a distance between ourselves and everyone else, because we are afraid people will see us and “throw us off the bus.”  Everything around is us about relationships including our relationship with money.

The best thing to do, instead of avoiding our shame is to shine a light on it. Talk about some of the issues to those with whom you are safe. It’s about letting go!

You can receive Pegi’s handouts  by emailing her at pegi@thefinancialwhisperer.com. Be sure to put DivaTalkRadio in the subject line and Pegi will be happy to send you her valuable handouts.

Healing comes as take active steps to move from:

self-commitment

self respect

self-trust

self-love

Stephanie Ford Inspires the Divas with Fashion tips

Stephanie Ford inspired us to Dress to Manifest our unique personalities. What a fun show.
Stephanie was working in the IT industry and enjoyed traveling across the country as an IT consultant but really wanted to share her purpose and talents and chose the fashion industry.
Stephanie is now passionate about helping women learn to express themselves holistically through what they wear.
We have power to bring visual impact through our fashion. A key to great fashion is knowing who you are.
We can start by looking at color: This communicates mood.
Yellow is  great for getting your point across.
Brown or black and neutrals communicate you being more laid back, more introspective
Red conveys fieryness
Stephanie has created style guides  some examples include -
1. Flames – light up the room, may like sequins and bling
2. the Nobles – the baby blue, powder blue & mauve. Calm & very refined & strong. With a high class attitude, sophisticated.
5. The Royals – similar to Nobles but operate as top level individuals – orange, regal golds, can wear furs, animal prints
