Weight Loss and Fitness Guru, Michelle Pearl, on 11-10-10

michelle-pearl

michelle-pearlThe Divas are super excited to be interviewing weight loss and fitness guru, Michelle Pearl on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at 2:00 p.m. EST.

Atypical fitness guru Michelle Pearl has a message for all those…who have suffered with ongoing weight problems: “You are not weak, losing weight has nothing to do with willpower, and you really can be happier, healthier and imperfectly fit.”

Through humorous anecdotes, backed by extensive research, Wake Up! You’re Probably Never Going to …Look Like That: How to be Happier, Healthier and Imperfectly Fit takes on the mass-media-driven myth that we should be striving to achieve the perfect body and meticulously dissects the weight loss myths that are constantly being perpetuated in the media.

In Wake Up! Michelle shares how she lost over 100 pounds twice in her life, and kept those pounds off the second timewake-up-book-by-michelle-pearl around. Additionally, she introduces The Pearl Principle™; 10 steps that anyone who has suffered with an ongoing weight problem can follow to lose weight and become healthier and more fit.

Pearl is also the owner of multiple businesses, including an online exercise service called Imperfect Fitness (www.ImperfectFitness.com) which creates customized DVD’s for exercisers based on their general health and fitness level. To drive home her message, Pearl features exercise assistants in her videos who are healthy and fit, but do not have “perfect” bodies. The motto of her Imperfect Fitness business is, “You don’t have to be perfect to be fit.”

Phone lines and interactive chat room will be open during the LIVE show to answer any and all of your questions. Mark your calendars for this show…you don’t want to miss it!  If you will be listening to the rebroadcast of this show, send us your questions for Michelle and we’ll be happy to ask them for you. Simply type your questions in the comments section below.

This episode airs LIVE at 11/10/10 11:00AM PST – 11/10/10 1:00PM CST – 11/10/10 2:00PM EST.

Gina is a Peak Performance coach wherein she moves you past your fears and anxiety to the life we were created for.  Gina says ”

“I live to see people set free from their own limiting beliefs that create scarcity, fear, failure, frustration and anxiety. I rejoice in seeing victory won from the inside out. This means that whether we are working on the most intimate bedroom issues or building multi-million dollar portfolios, my clients end up with a life and livelihood that are authentic, fun, rewarding, and  they often surpass their original goals.

I have been married for over 20 consecutive years to the same guy. We have four children who either keep us young or give us gray hairs on any given day. This also means that I don’t travel to speak QUITE as much as I might like, but I can usually be wooed by the right opportunity.”

Women in Business: BiziMums

bizimums

In continuing with our Woman in Business Series, Elaine features Buzimums

Very specialized towards women entrepreneurship in online business marketing.  The information is clearly organized and the site is easy to navigate through.  It’s a very supportive site! I like the “tools” and “starting plan” that they provide—very doable from what I’ve gathered!

Review by: Elaine Huang

*NEW* Women in Business Series

When taking on Elaine as an Intern, I asked her what she wanted to gain from her Internship. She said that she wanted to learn about women in business as she has an entrepreneural spirit.  So, I set her out to find 10 websites that she resonated with. The only guidelines that I gave her that the site must be owned by a woman and that it talked about business. The type of business was not a concern.

Elaine was to visit the website and then come back and report her findings. What Elaine returned was a list of incredible sites. Some I knew of already and some I didn’t know about.

Over the next several days, we will be sharing Elaine’s reviews in our Women in Business Series. Hope you’ll join us!

That’s it for now. Until next time, wear your heels well!

Singer and Songwriter Billie Myers is our Featured Guest on 11-18-09

billie-myers

billie-myersAfter a seven-year hiatus, Billie Myers , the prodigiously talented British singer/songwriter who delivered the international smash-hit “Kiss the Rain”, is back with her latest music gem “Tea and Sympathy” and is already making a lot of noise!

On September 1, the highly anticipated buzz-heavy “Tea and Sympathy”, in less than 24 hours of its online release, impressively scored a #15 spot on the iTunes Singer/songwriter chart.

This time around, Billie has got some heavy hitters in her corner. The Billie-Myers-Photoenvelope pushing musically expansive new CD features collaborations with such highly acclaimed songwriters as Peter Vale, (Lemar, Beverly Knight) Marcella Detroit, (Shakespeare’s Sister, Eric Clapton) and Kristen Hall, (Sugarland). While staying true to the expressive vocals and incisive lyrics that have earned her a loyal fan base and ongoing critical acclaim, Myers has broken new ground musically.

Working with UK producer Dee Adam, Myers has fashioned a unique collage of sound that intertwines electronica, trip-hop beats, and bluesy guitars around her live acoustic/rock roots.

billie-myersHaving formed her own record label Fruit Loop Records, after being dropped by Universal, Billie Myers is going the independent way by successfully utilizing the internet as a marketing and distribution tool.  She is releasing her first single “I Hope You’re Happy Now” exclusively on iTunes UK and iTunes USA.

Kiss the Rain by Billie Myers

A resolute follower of D.I.Y ethos, the talented artist, who has already established via a guerrilla style type of promotion/PR a strong world wide web presence, is setting the perfect example on how independent artists can distribute music sans major label support by making full use of the internet and the many social networks a la Facebook, MySpace, YouTube and Twitter to name a few.

The Divas are thrilled to have Billie Myers as our guest on November 18th.  This lady is beautiful inside and out and her music is amazing! You will not want to miss this show!
