When Celeste Thorson came on DivaTalkRadio – she raised our faith for what is possible when a new opportunity arrives. As a star on Destination X Hawaii, Celeste told us some steps that led to such a fun job. One day as Celeste was auditioning for a particular role, the producers told her, “We think you might be great for this other opportunity, but we’ve pretty much already filled slots for it.” Undaunted, Celeste returned to the call-back audition with a complete posterboard filled with ideas of what she had researched and could bring to the table if given the chance. The producers were so impressed that not only did they write her into the cast, but they even made her one of the show’s writers!
Listen to Celeste as she shares how to step up into a new opportunity, rather than shrink back.
One of her tips was, “Instead of asking, ‘What if I can’t do this?’, why not ask, ‘What if I CAN??'”
