Goodfriend Communications has been teaching innovative communication skills for more than a decade. After mediating an intense dispute using these skills, Mr. Goodfriend knew that these skills were authentic and needed to be offered to the world..

He continues to use the same skills and consciousness daily with his personal and business relationships. He uses what he teaches.

Rick is author of I Hear You, But… that consists of over 100 communication tips and two CDs. The tips come from the suggestions to participants of World Empathy Day that he founded 4 years ago.

These tips go to people in countries all around the world, including Romania, Saudi Arabia, Russia, England, Viet Nam, Korea, Iraq, Palestine, Iraq, Israel and India. It is his hope that it helps to motivate a peaceful consciousness and existence. World Empathy Day is celebrated each Wednesday.

Rick is also certified by the International Association of Corporate Speakers. His keynotes and seminars are filled with professionalism and humor. He has also appeared on more than 300 television shows discussing these communication skills.

Rick lives in Santa Barbara, California.
