Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is Freedom! #SundayWorship

John 14:15-18 says “If you love me, obey me: and I will ask the Father and he will give you another Comforter, and he will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, the Spirit who leads into all truth. The world at large cannot receive him, for it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you do, for he lives with you now and some day shall be in you. No, I will not abandon you or leave you as orphans in the storm, I will come to you.”

In the scriptures above, Jesus is talking to his disciples about him leaving them and joining Father God in heaven. He promises that he will still be with them through the Holy Spirit.  Can  you imagine the disciple’s faces of confusion? How could Jesus be leaving them, yet still be with them? That’s the beauty of the Holy Spirit, he’s the very presence of God himself within all of us as believers. He’s our comforter in times of sadness and sorrow. He’s our counsel as we have trials in our lives. The Holy Spirit is powerful who is working with us and for us. Divas, I don’t know about you but that excites me! This means that no matter what life throws my way, I can rest and have peace that the Holy Spirit is working on my behalf. There is FREEDOM in that!!
